Bryan is CEO and President, and co-founder of TidalShift Inc. (formerly SPM Learning Ltd). Over the past twenty years Bryan has led the company from a focus in project management training to a full service learning and development firm providing services and products in three integrated competency areas: Change Management, Leadership and Team Development, and Initiative & Project Management. In the past year under Bryan’s guidance TidalShift has created unique approaches to deliver and transfer these capabilities to organizations and their people.

He oversees the overall strategy and growth for TidalShift supported by a dynamic team of professionals. Bryan believes in the pursuit of lifting organizations to their potential through creating resilience and core leader capability in its greatest asset – people.

As a leader who leads by example, Bryan remains committed to learning and development and maintains a personal connection with clients.  He remains active by providing ‘on the ground’ consulting, facilitation and speaking services through special request by clients.

His vision and drive within TidalShift and with clients has been a guiding light for the growth and success of the business resulting in a number of awards both through CSTD and PMI® which demonstrate the value it offers its clients.

With over 35 years of progressive experience in business, project and construction management in both public and private sectors, Bryan also was instrumental in international work in the Middle East from 2005 to 2010.  He received his B. Eng. In civil engineering from Carleton University and a MASc. from University of Waterloo.  He was a pioneer in the early days of the Project Management Institute including being president of the Southern Ontario Chapter.  He is often sought in an advisory capacity and has served on the Conference Board of Canada’s PM Forum and ProjectWorld Canada.

There is an adventurous side to Bryan that is readily apparent in his personal endeavours. He is passionate about long distance motorcycle touring, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2005, and enjoys snowshoeing and snowboarding in the winter.
