David Donaldson is a Practice Lead with TidalShift (formerly SPM Learning). David is an experienced facilitator, trainer, courseware developer and consultant with over 20 years’ experience building and delivering solutions for clients across North America.  He has worked in a variety of sectors including finance, not-for-profit, government, and private enterprise.

David is a talented professional who has worked with organizations of various sizes leading sessions with a couple of participants to over 200, and has received back-to-back Lotus Education Beacon Awards for customer satisfaction.  David has worked with individuals ranging from front line staff to “C” suite executives including preparing fellow facilitators for major rollouts, often being the instructor and developer of choice to lead teams through difficult organizational changes.

In addition to holding his Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute, David also has his Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation from the Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD).  David is an active member with CSTD.  David recently completed his Master’s Certificate in Adult Training and Development, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to development for himself and his students. When not in a corporate setting, David can be found volunteering his time training pilots and working with horses. This avid builder recently shifted his focus from building kayaks to an airplane project, expected launch summer 2015.  David shares his sense of adventure with others by leading the N.O.W. Events, an adventurer’s club helping people step out from behind their desks and into nature.
